Hi all
I joined this group for vintage sewing machine interaction.
I currently have 2 vintage machines.
1 a 1911 Singer 66 in a portable case, converted to electric.
This machine works excellent!
2. a Standard Rotary machine in a grand treadle cabinet circa 1897.
This one is the one I am working on.
I have issues with the vertical lifting mechanism that operates off the raising of the lid.
The chassis lifting frame as I am working the mechanism tilts to the front and the lever arms pops free from the back.
This is a great project and I am converting this one back to treadle operation if I can get it figured out.
thanks in advance.Looking forward to the interaction on this site.

Welcome from Texas. There are a lot of quilters here who have a lot of knowledge about machines. The first one that comes to mind is OurWorkbench (Janey & John). You will find a lot of help from them & others who will be able to guide you in the right direction when it comes to machine repairs/conversions.
