Hi and welcome from Payson, AZ. How far would you like to go for a retreat? About the candle mats...there is a book called "It's A Wrap" that wraps clothesline with any cotton material of your choice and after it is sewn into a little base, you can cause it to "roll" up on the sides. It can fit a candle but this pattern is usually made into bowls. It's the only thing I can think of...Good Luck.
