Hello from south Arkansas. I've been quilting for a few years, but have only completed one quilt (through the quilting stage). I have several finished tops, and of course, lots of UFO's. My goal is to become a consistent hand-quilter. To this end I've been hand quilting a baby quilt that was to go to one of my grandbabies (who is now 9 years old). :D
My latest and most ambitious project is shown in the picture I've posted to my profile. It's a hexagon quilt made of white on white and beige on beige fabrics. I'm hand piecing this (no machine piecing for this one), so it takes a while. I may not live long enough to finish it. :D
I've been reading here in the forum yesterday and this morning, and I think this is the place for me. Lots of good people and helpful suggestions. Looking forward to being here.

Welcome from a fellow Arkansan. :) I love the quilt-in-progress in your avatar! I love to keep hand work available too. Mostly it's applique for me, but I have hand pieced a couple of quilts (one is still in progress) and I find it very relaxing. I can't wait to see a close up of yours when you get it finished.
Enjoy the board! We're glad you're here. :D
