There are lots of yahoo groups and also lots of videos on both things. I don't think the knives can be sharpened. I have a Brother and was told they'd replace them free of charge if needed. I'd check with the maker of yours to find out. Good luck on your learning.

Hello and welcome from another desert rat. Now I live in W.C. Arkansas. We visit the valley often as my kids still live there

Wecome from Sun City, AZ. My husband and I have been to Payson a few times and enjoyed it. Always nice to get away from the Valley during the summer months!

Welcome to the quilting board. I live in Flagstaff, Az now. I too lived in the Phoenix area for 30 years and it just got too hot and busy for my husband and myself and the big factor for moving was to be closer to 3 beautiful granddaughters. Sorry, but I don't know anything about sergers. You will love, love, love this board-everyone is so helpful and kind. I go to Payson once in awhile and visit a nice quilt store there. Good luck on your new adventure of quilting.

Welcome from Litchfield Park! We're about 15 miles west of Phoenix, but my In-Laws moved to Payson a couple years ago, so we are there quite often! Lots of nice hiking trails up there!
