Hi! I'm new here! Missouri

Yes that really is my first quilt. I went to Hancock in May w/o a pattern... just knowing that I wanted blues and yellows going from light to dark. I guessed at the yardage!!! I actually bought 5 yellow and 5 blue but didn't use the lightest of each in the quilt. My mom used some of them later in a scrap-like set of placemats, along with several other fabrics. I found the pattern a month later and had to get it. I worked on it at my mom's place in St. Louis 3 or 4 weekends in a row and finished everything the day before my sister's baby shower.

That's a wonderful quilt.. You were brave to do that one for a first quilt... I can't imagine what you'll be doing for your 15th or 20th quilt! Beautiful bag too.. Great job!
