A big welcome from Texas! Your quilt is very pretty. You are very fortunate to have a room dedicated to sewing.

Yes that really is my first quilt. I went to Hancock in May w/o a pattern... just knowing that I wanted blues and yellows going from light to dark. I guessed at the yardage!!! I actually bought 5 yellow and 5 blue but didn't use the lightest of each in the quilt. My mom used some of them later in a scrap-like set of placemats, along with several other fabrics. I found the pattern a month later and had to get it. I worked on it at my mom's place in St. Louis 3 or 4 weekends in a row and finished everything the day before my sister's baby shower.

Another hello from Missouri.. I'm in Joplin.. I'll go right past you on our way east later this week.. so when we go bye, we'll honk.. Just listen for us sometime Thursday morning!

That's a wonderful quilt.. You were brave to do that one for a first quilt... I can't imagine what you'll be doing for your 15th or 20th quilt! Beautiful bag too.. Great job!
