How funny...about 50 years ago, my family also lived in Roseville....Near Gratiot and 11 Mile road...The world keeps getting smaller, doesn't it? Ican't believe the people from MI that responded to my message...Unfortunately, I haven't met anyone in my area yet. Tootie

Oh, the world is small. I lived on Martin rd. just one block off Gratiot Ave, on the corner of Pinehurst. I lived there until Dec. 1963 and we moved to Missouri. I went to Elem. school at Wellington elem. and middle school at Bethlehem Luthern School on Gratiot ave.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I really love that this site lets us share wisdom and experience with quilters around the world.
And it's been fun to see how many of us are connected in some way with "the mitten".

I am headed to your area to spend the weekend with my daughter. Maybe we can meet someday! I have only been on this site for a short time and everyone is so friendly. Now I need to get the courage to start cutting trying to put together a scrap quilt. Have a great day! Tootie

Great! Another mitten person...I have had a wonderful experience meeting people from all over MI. One woman lives in the same town that I am going to this weekend (spending time with my daughter). Hopefully, I will get to meet some of these people in person one day!
