Hallo from Western Australia. I love fabric, I love the colours, I love the textures, I love the way blocks look different with different fabrics and colours. I'm semi-retired, and quite a bit of fabric lying around, (I don't call it a stash, it is my fabrichologist research centre - I read that in a quilting magazine and like it better than "stash"). I am glad that while I was working fulltime I built up my research centre, because now I can get by with buying a little less !! I like to experiment with colours in blocks, with stripes and with border prints. I don't much like checks, and hate binding. Some of my experiments with colour have been a bit of a disaster (see orange and blue work in progress ) but hey, its still fun to put together! Hope everyone has as much fun as I do with their projects.

I've been known to just 'study' my fabrics for hours at a time -looking for just the right color, texture, scale, etc.
