I’m a 67 years young retired homemaker. I love sewing. The first Machine I ever sewed on was a Singer Treadle machine. I was about 10 years old, visiting my grandmother.
I recently acquired a 1935 Singer Treadle machine. We’ve ordered a belt and bobbin wheel for it. Oiled it and it seems to work.
I want to make a quilt on the new, to me, treadle machine.

Welcome from Soggy Seattle. The first machine I used was my Mom's old electric singer, not sure of the model but it had a knee bar and I think what they call a coffin case? Rounded wood. I've been using vintage machines older than me most of my sewing career but last fall a friend gifted me with her modern (but replaced) Bernina. I am loving the needle threader.

Welcome from Houston! I used to live east of New Waverly sort of between New Waverly and Coldspring. Beautiful area. I have my Grandma's Franklin treadle but I have to admit, I've never used it.
