I have been lurking around since the beginning of the year and enjoying all the posts. I love to quilt (have been quilting for over 10 years) and am a charter member of the Irving Quilt Guild in Irving Texas. I have lost the obsession to quilt somewhat (my husband is very grateful :-). With a full-time job, aging parents, kids, grandkids and husband I have limited time so now I only work on challenging patterns or special requests from the kids/grandkids. My time quilting is my "going-away-to-my-happy-place" time so I thoroughly enjoy it.

I'm excited about this site - you can never learn enough about quilting and y'all have such wonderful information to share.

We all need that special place where we can go and shut the door and do what we love best. It recharges us so we make better partners, moms, grandmas, and friends. :D

Sounds like you have lot on your plate. This board is so full of fun people and lots of advice.

Hi and welcome from Cypress (far NW Houston), TX. This site is so enjoyable and informative.......and addictive. The time spent here could be the time spent quilting but I just can't help myself. Enjoy!
