Thumbs up

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I haven't gotten my photos from my phone to my computer yet. I got the old girl set up in her cabinet though, ordered some attachments, reorganizing my sewing space to make room for the junk I had to move to make room for her cabinet. Feeling pretty good about it all.

Welcome Manakeeka from Florida. Is the "mana" for manatee and "Keeka"from Parakete both of which are seen in your part of the world much more than in southern Texas! You have a great screen name!! Happy to meet you.

Y'all seem like a nice bunch of folks.

Hi Kathi,
I'm pretty new here too; I do hand quilting but have been away from it for a long time. I have an old treadle Singer from my grandmother; I'm hoping to find someone in my area who still can work on it and make sure it works. I've not tried to take it out of the Singer stand it is in, but I remember watching my grandmother do it 100 times and I don't think it's that hard. Well, we'll see! I think it would be perfect for me as a novice sewer, since I don't like complexities that these new machines show. Like this old thing is really easy to thread, etc. Anyway, nice to meet you.
