When I started quilting material was 59 cents a yd. All we had at the time was a pattern, scissors, and cereal box for tin plates. There were no quilt magazines. We got our patterns from the ladies at the church which were passed down in families. When you cut with the scissors it wasn't accurate. We didn't have all the gadgets we have today. We bought 3 yds of material for the border. The reason I fell in love with quilting is because 28 tops for our church group to sell. I was hooked. I like a challenge still yet today. I will post some of my work at a later date. Thank you for your inquiry.
