As the mother of a sewing machine mechanic I can tell you, Please read your manual from beginning to end. You will learn all kinds of good advice from them. Most do not read them. Anytime you change machines it is a new learning experience and one that takes some time. I urge you to set up a uninterrupted time to just sit and play around with your new toy. Relax and enjoy the experience.

Hi and welocome to the board. Don't let that machine intimidate you! Check out Bernina site and write them, they could probably email you a manuel.
