I love doing the scenery quilts but they take longer than regular quilts.
Thank you for the welcome.

Please show them ALL- I for one, am dying to learn to do landscape quilts!!! I asked my LQS just last week if they would do a class, they said maybe toward the end of the year. I don't have the confidence to start one on my own, even though I have made about 30 quilts! I just need the basics, and I think I can take off from there! PLEASE post more!!!!

Collecting the right fabrics is the hardest part of landscape quilts. once you have enough to start, just lay out your background pieces and sew together. Remember, everything is raw edged. No match seams. Then just cut out shapes for trees from several different colors. (trees are not brown!) I used greens, black and white with black markings. Then just add whatever detail you wish. I fussy cut ferns, leaves and flowers as well as odd rough shapes for bushes.

I used "fast to fuse" on the backs of all the fabrics.
