I put a small collage of pictures on my grandson's quilt - he was 8 at the time.... and used sashing around each picture within the collage - it was so striking! he had visited me for his summer vacation, so it was pictures of him on the farm - he lives in a small town, but never frequents a farm, or goes fishing, or rides a 4-wheeler, or feeds animals; so all this was his gift on his requested "racecar/track" quilt and the back was all his pictures of his vacation. He loves both sides. He sleeps with the pictures of vacation and family next to his body - and the racecar/track is what you see when you walk into his room;
