New gal, from SE Georgia!
Hello everyone! I am 30, and my husband and I live in south Georgia. I'm a nurse on an orthopedic unit. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats.
I am a newcomer to the world of quilting. My friend asked me to help make a baby quilt for a friend's baby shower and after that day I just became obsessed. She ended up not having time to finish it at her house so I actually made my own mini-quilt (wall hanging) to have something to give her for the shower! I did everything by machine, even the binding. It was a wonderful feeling.
But now I've created a monster. I already converted the spare bedroom to a sewing room! I'm slowly collecting fabrics and it is my dream to make non-traditional quilts of 8-bit old-school nintendo games. Metroid and Zelda are at the top of my list
Here is a picture of the mini quilt that I made, my first creation!
I hope to learn much more, like free motion and paper piecing. I love that you guys do swaps/round robins and such and I hope to participate as much as possible so I can learn new things!
