Red face New from Idaho

Wanted to introduce myself. I have been searching for a certain quilt pattern (or at least help in figuring out the mathematics) and Google keeps bringing me back here. I've been loving homemade quilts for years, but only recently started to venture into making them. I have a lot of quilt ideas running in my head, but when it comes to actually planning them or making them, I usually hit a roadblock. Most of the roadblocks come in the form of money, as in, I can't afford to buy the fabric. Believe it or not, I found fat quarters that might help with that.

Could someone direct me to the right forum so I can start talking about a quilt that I would love to make for my daughter? It's in the planning stages right now, and I'm hoping to go forward on it soon.

Welcome from New York state! This is the correct place. You can start a new thread about anything quilt related. Do you have a picture of the quilt you're trying to piece? If it has a pattern, some are free online.

Welcome from Tennessee. And as Tartan said just ask anything in the main section. You will get many responses. As for fabric you can do thrift stores and yard sales for old clothes. You can get plenty of yardage from shirts or maybe luck upon some fabrics there. Enjoy your journey. We love to see pics of your progress.
