Welcome from a hand quilter from East Texas. I use a hoop that has a stand that I rest in my lap. That frees up both hands so I can use one on top with the needle and the other on the underside.

Hello, welcome and Happy Quilting from Germany!

I use a 18" hoop on a stand (Jasmine) and although this hoop is quite expensive I love it. I do all my quilts in it, big and small ones.
