Glad you found this board. You will get all sorts of wonderful help here on just about any subject. I too am from WV, (Princeton, Mercer County), and started making quilts about 6 years ago. Once you get your stash built up (I got my first stashs from haunting thrift shops, goodwill, etc, buying pillowcases (Lots of fabric in them...) dresses, mens shirts, and so on. Washing, ironing and cutting them into fat quarters, or strips. Good luck, and keep it up.

Hi from Fairmont WV. I've been to Sneeds during the shop hop they participate in June. If you can do the hop it is a blast.

Hey, Welcome from another West Virginian!!!! I live near Hinton, WV. Takes a little over an hour for me to get to Charleston. My hubby is working on the bridge down there. I like doing the same things you do. I'll be teaching my daughter to can and quilt. She is moving back home. Yippie!!! There's so many on here from WV. Wish we could do a retreat somewhere. And everyone could meet. That would be so much fun. And of course, bring your sewing machines.

Hi Beth and welcome from Peoria, Arizona. I make blankets for shelters here in AZ. My project is called the Quilted Critter Project. PM me if you would like more info on it. I would dearly love to have other quilters willing to contribute to the cause! I am also a new quilter. It sounds like you are into all kinds of fun things. I look forward to seeing pictures of your work. I don't have any up yet because I am so new to quilting. You will love it here!
