Newbie from Louisiana
#1
Good morning,
I joined QP about a week ago and have been reading and enjoying the msgs. I'm in SE Louisiana and have been making quilts for about 20 years - well, tops, anyway!
I tend toward traditional blocks, pieced or applique (love needleturn!) and have been trying to make the transition to scrappy. I'm in the process of making the blocks for a 30's scrappy Jewel Box and have 39 more blocks to make for a 100 block king-size. I love the old-fashioned look of scrappy, but it's very difficult for me. My long-term goal is a Baltimore Applique and I've finally got my patterns together and fabric is ordered and on the way. Participated in several swaps and Round Robins on another msg board - fun, fun!
You all are such a chatty group and it'll be great to read all the info and get inspiration from the talented quilters here!
