Hello! I grew up with a sewing and quilting mother ( trust me I know I was a lucky one!) and have always dabbled. Mostly I stick with making purses, embroidery, painting, or really any kind of crafty goodness. But I really think now is the time to get better at my quilting skills. Or lack there of. I started one for Christmas. Kinda wasn't sure how to do the binding and then got very distracted. Oops. Anywhoo. I've been trying to make myself a bag--finally--and keep getting drawn into this site. I had to join when I read the drama about Tim's cut toe. That kinda did it in for me. And hopefully I'll learn all the cool techniques I am sorely lacking. Nice to meet you all!

Aww thanks for the welcome. My bags don't have any quilting in them. Just a lot of sewing and the occasional screen-printing. But who knows what the future of my bag making and quilting obsession goes. Lord knows I'm already halfway there. I buy fabric based on it's potential for a quilt. Now I just gotta make some!!

Hello and thanks! Wish I were in Florida! I've got spring fever something awful! Probably why I just made a new bag for spring..soon enough it'll be here. For now I get to listen to phone calls of family down by you and live vicariously that way!

welcome Melissa, and don't worry about Tim, when he got tired of walking around in circles he met her demands and got the toe back! We don't care if your bags are quilted or not, we just like to see what everybody is doing. We have a thread going so you can show us where you sew and one for pictures of yourself and your family. We just really like to get aquainted with each other as best we can.
