I've heard the name and for some reason when I read your subject line that's what I thought of. I travel a lot (driving I-40) between Las Vegas, across Ariz to New Mexico and back, sometimes to Phoenix area too.
We are about 30 miles south of I-40 out of Holbrook.

I've been to Snowflake (to the temple). I also have friends who grew up there. Glad you are into quilting now - it's adicting. Beware that your regular tasks will now take 2nd place!
