Hi........I am a long time quilter and enjoy any new information or chat about basically anything "quilty". Eight of my friends and I sew together at 4:00 a.m. at our local library on the first Friday of every month. We get together at that time, because it's easier than trying to find a free night, some of our quilters have children and their activities interfere with an evening meeting time. We usually "show and tell" for the first 15 minutes, then sew and chat for three hours. At 7:00, we go to breakfast together, then some of us head off to work. Once a year we choose a project, all using the same pattern, and each making our own quilt or throw, or whatever. We have been meeting for nearly 8 years now and LOVE it! Personally, I am a traditional quilter and love to work on anything with stars or points. We are currently working on giving our first retreat and I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions for a successful 3 day event.
