Hopefully your mother-in-law will give you lessons to learn to use your new machine. The older Kenmores are wonderful machines. It isn't hard to use a sewing machine, just takes some patience with yourself.

Hi from Fort Myers, FL. I have an old Kenmore for a back up, it's a work horse.
