Howdy from Texas! This is such a fun & educational place to call home. You will learn a lot from many exceptionally fine quilters. There are quite a few men on the board & they can quilt better than me. One of the men I used to work with always went to Jo-Ann's with his wife to help her pick out fabrics. He had a better sense of color than she did so they worked as a good team. I agree with Tartan & would suggest something small to begin with. We love pictures so dust off your camera & make us happy. :)

I have tried to get my husband interested in quilting, but then I wouldn't have a dishwasher and general housekeeper. LOL. Have to say, I really appreciate the support I get from him, as I couldn't do it without him. Forgot to say, welcome from Texas. You will love this site; a great help to us all.

Welcome from another Sacramento quilter! I love the information, comradery and support here. I also enjoy swapping with my fellow quilters. Make sure to head into some of our local quilt stores. I know the ladies there just love it when they find a quilting man to help!
