Hello from Texas! I also have a lone star quilt top that I inherited from my great grandma...it too was not in the best shape...I started to work on it, and actually my dh (dear husband) got roped into helping me some figuring out how to work with all of the angles and such...so, while he doesn't actually quilt, he does help me out with anything I ask him to...There are actually several men on here that quilt, and do a super job of it, too! Lots of talented people with lots of great ideas and willingness to help out, here, too. So, you will be in good company!
