Welcome. I'd love to see some Barbie clothes posted. Just bought a Simpl. and McC. pattern to start. Could only find one free pattern on-line. Welcome welcome -- :)

Welcome from another "lurker" in E. Tenn. I read, enjoyed and learned for months before I joined in. This is such a great board with some very smart, talented, and always helpful members.

The only pictures I have with just leftover fabric that I made clothes with. Will have to dig for them. I traded plastic canvas patterns for Barbie furniture in a sewing forum years back. I forgot what country she was from. She e-mailed copies of old Barbie clothes patterns that I had back in the 70's. Mine had wore out. Now I bought a lot when I could get them cheap. I now iron interfacing on the back so they last longer. A couple of years ago Vogue came out with retro patterns of old Barbie patterns so I bought more. I do that with clothes patterns I like and use a lot too before I can't get anymore of the pattern.
We had 6 inches of rain last night, a foot of water on our street. One time we had 3 feet on the street. Our house is on the hill so we don't have to worry. A lot of bridges washed and high ways were shut. Husband couldn't go to work today. 40 miles south of us had 13 inches. All this goes into the Mississippi River. |
I forgot to tell you I clip all the sleeves and press before I sew them for the Barbie clothes. I started making them in 1968 for my godchild with leftover fabric. Now I have a stash just for Barbie clothes. How crazy is that.
