Where at in Northeast Iowa? I live east of Cedar Rapids on highway 30 in Mechanicsville. I'm learning there a lot of quilters here in the state.

I live about half way between Guttenberg and Dubuque along the river.

Oh I'm in here everyday! So then I don't get as much sewing done!

My boys are 40 and 43 with no wives or kids. We have 2 dogs that want out 100 times a day.Our min pin is just about 6 months old so I don't want to leave my foot feet for my sewing machine alone with him. I keep picking it up and down. My sewing machine I got new 5 years ago and has never left my kitchen table. I have no place else to put it.

I now iron interfacing on the back so they last longer. A couple of years ago Vogue came out with retro patterns of old Barbie patterns so I bought more. I do that with clothes patterns I like and use a lot too before I can't get anymore of the pattern.
We had 6 inches of rain last night, a foot of water on our street. One time we had 3 feet on the street. Our house is on the hill so we don't have to worry. A lot of bridges washed and high ways were shut. Husband couldn't go to work today. 40 miles south of us had 13 inches. All this goes into the Mississippi River. |
And another welcome from Iowa. Where in NE?
|
Welcome from Minnesota (Minneapolis)!

Welcome from Central Florida. I cut my favorite patterns out of pellon and then I don't have to worry about them wearing out.
|
I never thought about doing that. I hate it when a favorite pattern wears out.
