    Hello and welcome
Many years ago I went to a quilt shop in Arkansas whilest visiting a friend in Eureka Springs.
I don't rember its name but vividly remember a display of Annie Orr quilts.
I think Barbara told me it had closed.

Well then I guess there is no need for me to go to Eureka Springs then. lol! Everybody tells me I really have to go there; just to see the place. Hubby and I just haven't ventured that way yet. With the quilt store closed though...

    Thanks for your warm welcome.

I have always liked working with my hands. I've been knitting and crocheting since I was a child. Sewing is new to me though. I'm likin' it a lot. There is nothing like the feel of soft cotton fabric or better yet, a handmade quilt.

I'll always love writing too. Expressing feelings and communicating with others is so important. I have learned so much in my years writing for a newspaper. In fact, that is where my quilting inspiration came from. I covered a local quilt show every year and was finally bitten by the bug.

I had never heard of Bee Branch, AR, but after looking it up, you and I are practically neighbors. I live in Mountain Home, not too far. I have been only been as far south as Jasper, Mountain View and Batesville. Bee Branch looks like a lovely place.

Thanks for the welcome and welcome to you too.

Gee Mary, we are probably close to being neighbors and likely watch the same TV channels. Being in north-central Arkansas, our television originates in Springfield. I probably know more about Missouri politics and weather than what is in my own state...Thanks for the fine welcome.

I find I have gravitated to the QB while drinking my morning coffee, so I agree with you. It is wonderful to look at all the pictures and read all the posts. This board is massive. I have to agree with your signature--catsnquiltsgotogether. I have five cats, so I know just what you are talking about. When I sit down to quilt, there is always one or more on it and/or under it. I wouldn't have it any other way...Thanks for your lovely welcome.

Thanks for your comment. I have to agree with you. I just love living here. The hills are so welcoming. For my entire life, I've lived on the plains, but eight years ago when we moved here, I feel I've come to where I belong.

It is particularly nice here today. We are looking at 60º--very different from Colorado in the winter, I'm sure. I've only been to Colorado once, but was totally impressed with how beautiful it was. After experiencing Chicago winters my whole life though, I'm happy to be here. Our hills aren't quite as dramatic as your mountains, but I love them all the same...Thanks for the fine welcome.
