Hello, I'm HomekeepingGran, aka Carla. I have sewn (mainly cotton) garments for many years but never gotten into quilting, other than a baby quilt I made many years ago. It was... usable, but far from really well done. Now, nearly 40 years later, I have another baby quilt top made and hope to do some simple quilting next week, probably with my walking foot. I have also bought one of Leah Day's Craftsy classes, Free Motion Fillers, Vol. 1, and am starting some free motion practicing — oh, do I have a long way to go! I am delighted to find this board and hope to learn from you all.

Good morning, everyone! Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I appreciate it very much and impressed with the friendliness here. I note quilters from all over the United States and Canada just in these lovely responses. I have been poking around in the threads some and already come up with new ideas; I can tell this will be a place to get support and a lot of questions answered.
