I had to double check to make sure you hadn't already gone on your trip. There are so many quilt shops on your route. A couple in Hudson, Calico Shop downtown Eau Claire, The Quilt Yard in Osseo, there are a couple of nice ones in Madison or nearby (so I've heard). I know there are several in Green Bay. If you are traveling from Green Bay back to The Cities The Cotton Club is just off of Hwy 29 between Cadott and Chippewa Falls. I went on a shop hop but don't remember all the places we stopped. You should be able to google quilt shops in WI and find a bunch. I've also seen books with all the shops listed. If you throw the names out on this board someone will be able to tell you if it is worth a visit,

I suggest you visit the quilt shop right in my town of Wisconsin Rapids, which is about an 1-1/2 hours north of Madison. The shop's name is "Cotton Thimble" and it's one of the biggest quilt stores I've ever been to. Carol always has some sort of sale going on too. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful store so close to my home!
