I am making this quilt with 5 inch squares. I saw a demo and didn't buy the book. I am using a light batik in the center
and folding the edges and hand sewing it like a Cathedral Window block and dark/med batiks for the other 4 squares;
I need to count and see how many more blocks I need to put it together. I will probably put a 5/6 inch border on it;
I was thinking of not putting a border on it but the LA lady said it would be easier to quilt on the LA.

The flag quilt is from a very old quilt book. It's tumbler blocks sewn in order of the flag colors. I have the book somewhere, I think it was published in the 60's. Ugly book but interesting quilt patterns. LOL
