Default Accuquilt Embroidery Files - many now free

Accuquilt not only sells dies to cut fabric, but they sell embroidery files to sew around their shapes. I noticed today that many of them are on sell for $0.00 -- free which used to be $14 - $36. I added almost 50 to my account! I have many of these dies and am delighted to see the embroidery files free. I searched by "embroidery" and then sorted price low to high to see the freebies: https://www.accuquilt.com/machine-em...rder=price_asc

You will need an account with them. They also have a lot of free patterns.

Happy Quilting!

I want to ask , do you need an embroidary machine to use these. does it only sew around the design if you have it cut from one of their dies? Thanks for info.

I am off to Accuquilt riaght now. I just got an Accuquilt for Christmas I have been have a great deal of fun with it so far. Right onw I am making an Apple Core quilt and have 60 pieces already sewn together. I am going to do at least another 60 pieces on it. It is a scrappy quilt and I have a whole lot of scraps.
Since I also love my embroidery machine I am going to collect the embroidery designs you are mentioning.

I just finished dl'ing all the free files for future use with many of the dies that they have, not that I have many other than the owl. I figure that it is possible I might consider a die or 2 for some of the appliques. Who knows. Thanks for sharing this information!.

Sewingsuz, yes, you need an embroidery machine. These are the digital files that embroidery around the exact shape of the accuquilt die.

Yes, you need an embroidery machine.

However, if you don't have the die, you can use them as traditional embroidery machine applique. You have to cut out the stitch lines after you stitch down the shape. Still need the emb machine.

FYI: Watch the stitch size on some of them. Starfish shape missed the applique fabric edges. Best to stitch out the design placement step and make sure it fits the applique. I had to re-size files. It could have been my machine and transfer of files. Best to check "before" you start the embroidery project.

I love the Accuquilt dies and the embroidery. I have bought quite a few. One thing you really have to watch and make sure you cut out the design as the pattern wants it, not every thing is reversible. (i.e.: the snowflakes, and pumpkins)
