Oh, those are the rules that I follow faithfully. What, you don't believe me?
There aren't any dirty dishes in the sink, they are hiding in the dishwasher, DH will throw the quilt over our bed and housework is done for the day so I'm free to quilt. Skipping the lipstick and dress, my old sweats that I wore as pjs last night are my sewing outfit for this morning.

I believe this was written by the same man who gave the directions for keeping your husband happy everyday. I have school books from the late 50s and early 60s that dictate how a woman is supposed to keep a happy home and always be pleasant. I think those books were burned. Thanks for sharing..

I dress to sew. That means a pair of sweat pants, no shoes, and no bra! Freedom to crawl around on the floor to cut, to reach, to pin the final stages of that quilt "sandwich." I probably wouldn't have started sewing if I had to be looking good. After all didn't they ever get threads on their dresses?
