Default Anyone having youngsters learning to sew?

I recently bought a safety sewing foot from Nancy Notions for the machine my grands use to learn to sew. It fits snap on or low shank machines. It takes away a lot of anxiety about the needle hazards for little fingers. I had trouble at first getting the foot to fit but I had it turned backwards. LOL

There's also a needle guard for low shank machines so you don't have to use a different foot.

I have one of those needle guards but the foot seems to less intimidating to beginners.
