My great hubby cut 2x6's and screwed them together to raise my cutting table higher. He used a large drill bit to make shallow hole for the legs to sit in so they don't slip off. He's a great guy who takes good care of me. I have had to have multiple back surgeries including a fusion in lower back and just can't bend over to cut. If I did I would be in bed for days trying to recuperate. I love all the great ideas ya'll share on here. You really look out for one another. Big hugs.

I too have my cutting table up on bed risers. What a back saver. But I started with paint cans which weren't pretty but they worked.

We're planning on doing the pvc pipe fix for the tables that I bought for my new sewing room. The tables are very very heavy though so I'm not sure if it is going to be strong enough. My father in law, the plumber, is going to take a look at it this Saturday when they come to visit.. I have to remind myself to give him a call and bring scrap pieces of pvc when he comes....
