Many people on the board use Sharon Schamber's board method regardless of the actual method of basting they use. The boards can be used for hand basting, pin basting or spray basting. I'm sure you will get plenty of thoughts on this.

I actually used the board method and used the elmers glue for basting!

I use this method quite successfully, what I like is the "boards" hold the quilt sandwich very secure , the tute is very easy to follow too.
