Thanks for sharing this, it seems even easier! Does it add a lot of bulk?

Thank you so much for the binding videos. Someone showed me once how to join the strips together but I've forgotten how. This will be a great reference for me. Thanks again!!

EXCELLENT DEMO! You just have to pay attention to how she flips out the pieces of fabric to sew them together so that they come out the right way.

Thank you many times over for this link. I always disliked the method I tried where one side is folded up, the other down as shown in Fons and Porter's book. I never got it exact and would just give up. I will definitely give this McCalls method a try.

No, finger pressed open and it's just like the rest of the joinings.
Looks the same.

This is the way I do it too. You don't even need a ruler - there is generally enough of the binding left to use a a measure. The way I remember to sew it correctly if to "kiss and twist". You put the ends flat together -like they a kissing-and the twist 90 degree and sew across the diagonal, just like when you were going the strips. Works every time. I DO make sure it fits before I trim to 1/4" though!

Oh my gosh, that is the most useful video I've ever seen. Never saw that way of bringing the two ends together before. Thank you so much for this video.

Looks like a good one to try. Like that joining. Similar to what I do but easier. Thanks for sharing.
