I have made these before and here's a tip. When you are looking at that tut the pink material that is suppose to be on the bottom can be any material (ugly, scrap, mulsin) Once this coaster is done you won't see this anymore. The green material in the tut, I use a xmas material. That way when you are done and you turn it right side out the christmas material is on the bottom and you can reverse the coaster at Christmas. Someone here posted a link here that is a hotpad or potholder which is the same pattern but bigger. Hope you like the tip. I did when my neighbor told me. Great gifts!

I tried the criss cross coasters and I enjoyed it very much. Made Christmas and Fall coaster....so pretty.
