Does anyone have a good resource for purchasing crushed walnut shells? I use these for filling pin cushions. I have only been able to find them for sale in small packages. Thanks for any help.

FYI - Our quilting group used walnut shells in pincushions & later found out they cause the pins to rust.
The shells retain moisture. :-(

Buy a bag of kitty litter. It is similar and it works the same.

I found them at a pet store and it was a large and very heavy bag.

Are you looking for "Black Walnut" or "English Walnut" shells?

Just be careful that you don't give any pincushions made with these to a person with nut allergies.
