I saw these a few years ago and actually considered one for when the power is out - but then realized probably wouldn't be able to see well enough!

It was probably retro fitted as a treadle. There is a gentleman that does that here for the Amish. amazing, huh? With me it's the peddle to the metal!

The Amish buy and use treadle machines. Even Bernina gets converted to treadle.

I'll bet it isn't the treadle the vintage ones are huh?? Nothing beats the real thing.

Note, you have to have the treadle cabinet to use it..and it is not for sale.....D in TX

I have the real thing. However, I also have a spare treadle base and this would be useful because it has zig-zag capability. So I would be interested to see how well it functions in the zig-zag mode. I have often said I really only need a machine that sews forward, in reverse, and zig-zags. This would appear to fill those requirements. I would like to see some reviews and comments.

I bought a brand new treadle at a yard sale from a couple that returned from overseas somewhere, I think Japan, and bought it there. Most machines in eastern countries are treadles. The machine they bought back was a Janome. Nice wood cabinet and shinny black sewing machine. I paid $40 for it- divorce sell.

Hummmmm, we do alot of dry camping in our 5th wheel...do you think......????? I wonder if my husband would notice??
