based on what Jaftex (who just bought this line) is saying on Scott's blog, I'm thinking they are making a big push to "beef up" the FreeSpirit design house and really focus on these awesome designers. Sure hope so!

I follow Scott as well and think you're right. I'm inclined to think that he and his designers may very well re-define the future of textiles. They appeal to a very broad range of folks and market themselves very well.

Last fall I attended a color theory lecture (more entertaining then educational) by Kaffe Fasset and Brandon Mabley - Scott Fortunoff was also there. They all know how to put on a show and create energy in a room! Scott was very liberal with promotional giveaways and that always excites the crowd.

I'm sure there's more to come from this bunch! Can't wait
