Default A Great Blogger's Opinion Comparing Juki 2010Q and the Bernina 440QE

Here is a great article about a blogger's opinion comparing the Juki 2010Q VS Bernina 440 QE machines:

Interesting information. She speaks of things I hadn't even considered.

Good read , but sewing machine that only sews straight stitch , I would still need a second machine so in the end I would have spent as much on a Bernina . Cathy

I tried to read the comparison but I had to sign up to receive "Cluck Cluck Sew" either by Facebook or e-mail. I do not do Facebook and I don't want to receive any more quilting e-mails. Would love to have read it. Thanks.

This is an interesting post. I have the Bernina 440QE but not the Juki.

I have the Juki98Q which is the one before the 2010Q, when I went to buy it no one had one and I was offered the 2010 at the same price. I turned them down (whine) and finally found the 98. It is a really good machine & FM 's great and the throat space allows a larger quilt than my older Bernina. I recently bought the 440QE used and haven't had it long enough to put it through its paces but think I will like it, except for the throat space, it does so much more than the Juki but it is a pain you know where to constantly keep switching machines in the space I have,

I have a 98Q that i quilt with. I love the speed. Dont use it to piece with as much as I should . Yes the walking foot is NOISY but you get used to it. I've had mine for years with no repairs. I have it serviced every couple years and keep it well oiled. `I use my Elna if i need something other than a straight stitch.
