Great site for Techniques & Free Patterns, Applique Projects etc
Found this absorbing site tonight http://www.equilters.com/library/quilt_bytopic.html
It has so much here is a sample - Techniques & Free Patterns, Applique Projects Opinions & Tips from Quilters, Equipment & Materials, Planning Quilts History & Ethnic.
I really liked the half log cabin block, didn’t know there was one. I haven't seen a quilt made with that block yet.

Got a kick out of you going to the land of Oz. There is a quilt shop near here called Quilts by the Oz. The owner said it got its name after her husband took her to a steak house in Chicago called Steaks by the Oz. She thought the name was cute, but didn't understand the name till he explained that the steaks were by the ounce. She named her quilt shop that way because it was catchy. I think so too, never forget the name of her shop.
