To Sheri.a, the basting spray I made some last night. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol instead of vodka. After the water and salt comes to a boil add your flour and water mix and it thickens up quickly. I boiled my mixture maybe an additional 2 minutes. After it cooled, I added the 1 cup of alcohol. When using it in a spray bottle it will make the fabric wet. Iron your fabric to the batting (80/20 cotton mix or 100% cotton) with the setting on cotton til it is dry. It should adhere the fabric to the batting. If you want to reposition your fabric make sure you do it before you iron it dry or else it won't move. My other suggestion is to wash the quilt after you are done fmq and binding. I hope this helps.
