I make my labels in MSPublisher, they have a miriad of borders to choose from. I can recolor, resize, make doubles/triples, add my text, print, I like the feature that lets you chose what size you want the text box so its exactly the size I choose.

I've done labels for years on my ink jet. I cut the freezer paper to 8.5 x 11 and iron some good muslin to it.
My last printer was a Dell, and the black ink came out fine but the color inks on clip art and graphics pretty much got washed out. I now have a Kodak printer. The first time I printed a label it was perfect, and my color graphics are permanent! But ever since, it eats my project! But I shall not be (overly) discouraged, I'll keep working on it till it succumbs to my will!
