Here too, Just thought I'd give some others that didn't have vintage machines the opportunity to own one too.
    :-D
The funny thing is these folks think that even non-working machines are worth BIG BUCKS!!! LOL

I am soooo mad at myself for giving Goodwill my Mom's Rocketeer sewing machine with gorgeous cabinet. I need to just forget about it but it's hard :(
It never worked very well but I don't remember why and I figured it was one more thing in the way.
She hardly used it- wasn't much into sewing but I'm still sorry I gave it away :(
But on a good note- she had a new Kenmore that she gave to my son who used to love making things and now will give it to his fiancee :D
    Gotta think positive!!!!!!!!!!

You'll find another one Deedum. Check the yard sales around there. That's where I picked mine up. :-D

There aren't that many here in NE PA. I watch for them all the time. I did buy a 1973 Singer Young Miss, like new, in the box for $10 yesterday.

Well where do you live? Check out your local craigslist. I bet they have a treadle machine either there or at a yard/garage sale in your area. I found mine at a yard sale. Seems they are less expensive at yard sales than on craigslist. I paid $25. for mine, but I have seen them for up to $1,000.00 on craigslist. They have no idea that Singer and other Vintage companies made 50,000 machines a year in some cases. They just are'nt that rare..
