Default Name this pattern is- named!! Its Dogwood Blossoms

Remember that quilt from goodwill we were trying to find the name of?

https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f...n-t291678.html
Well, I actually finally found the name of the block. its called "Dogwood Blossom" and it was apparently in the Kansas City Star in 1958.
Here's a guy who made it recently: https://timquilts.com/2013/05/14/dog...som-quilt-top/
And here's a discussion of it in Debby Kratovil's blog: http://debbykratovilquilts.blogspot.com/2014/03/
It only took from Oct 5 to Dec 28th, that's not too bad!

The one that was "done recently" is really not done well.....many seams that don't meet well.....but at least now it has a "name".

it wasn't done by the blogger tim, it was another of the vintage quilts that he acquires and restores. if you read his blog you'll see many wonderful old quilts. he doesn't write much on his blog, just posts pics with minimum of discussion. i think he does most of his commentary on facebook.
