Thanks for that. I'm in the middle of a quilt at present with flying geese, so I think I'll be changing method for the rest of it.

Thank you, Craftybear! It always bugged me to cut off and discard half the small blocks making flying geese... now we don't have to waste all that fabric. Very smart!

Here is another method that I found - PDF tutorial Size of Geese is finished: 4” by 2”, or unfinished: 4 1/2” by 2 1⁄2”. http://www.thriftyideastoday.com/201...diers-pdf.html
