Old Singer Sewing Machines
#11
I did it according to book as I have the instruction manual. I think it probably needs some more cleaning also, lol. I know the top tension was a little tight. Tomorrow I'm going to take WD-40 to it to clean it, then oil it in all the right places. I'm going to read the manual from one end to the other to see if I'm missing anything. They are usually pretty simple to fix. I know the belt also slips a little so need to adjust that. Thanks for the advice though. I appreciate it.

I have a Singer 401 A, purchased early 1960's & a Necchi 575FA,purchased early 1990's. Would you believe this...the Necchi was brought to me from New York. Folks around here know I collect & find new homes for the "unwanteds". My porch is a collection spot....clothes,appliances, camping gear, furniture....I sort & in the spring get a couple carloads over to my church rummage sale, rest to Good Will....My church is not a mega size one, in an older area, so a lot charity work to assist those in need.
