Cutting all the squares would do me in before I started! Wimp me out! It would be fun if I had unlimited time. I'll wait for paintmejudy's train mystery.

So, is there a charge for this. It doesn't really say.

Thanks for the info on mystery quilt. Never done one before and am really looking forward to it. I've copied the instructions and have already started choosing fabrics from my scraps.

I've saved it too, and have tons of scraps, so just might give it a go. Probably be after January tho.
I saw on the site where you can buy past mystery pattern's but they remain mysteries. No photos.
I have a lot of plaid fabric left from the one I am making my DGD right now, and there was a plaid one, but I think I need a photo before spending $9 on a pattern. LOL
I'm sure there will be lots of things online when I am ready to search for them! Not to mention here on the QB!

It sounds like a fun day. Not sure hubby will let me sit and quilt for a whole day though. I will have to think about it and start cutting soon if I decide to do it.

I think I'm going to give it a try. Will have to get busy tomorrow and see what fabrics i have to use. It will be hard to get everything cut and ready but sounds like fun. I've got two other projects started.....sure don't need to add a 3rd, but will try. Has everyone decided the original instructions are correct for the cutting? Thanks.

I just finished all my cutting (sure hope the instructions are right ). Just have to get all the 1/2 square triangles sewn together tonight. Since I'm doing a mystery tomorrow also, I need to finish prep today. Otherwise I'm going to be up 2 hours early on the 1st trying to get the prep ready for Clue #1

I got all my darks and med cut, than went looking for lights. discovered I don't really have a lot of light colors. most are really saturated colors, even my light blue is a bright light blue shows more med than light so off I went to LQS for some LIGHT, $99 later I am the proud owner of 27 yards of LIGHT fabric! Yep, she is having a end of year sale, I told her what I wanted and why, not to let me out with anything else I might think I need or just really like. She told me no several times. I think I need to stop into see her tomorrow, just to thank her, and maybe help support our local shops. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) LOL

The clues have always been free on New Year's Day and then they are taken down. I save each clue is it comes out because sometimes life gets in the way of quilting.
